Annual trip to Maratoto track to help with cutback and track maintenance.
Dept Of Conservation (DOC) says we need to stay safe, so please dont bring chainsaws or powered saws on poles.
Scrub cutters and hand tools such as pruning saws, loppers and hedge cutters (even powered ones) are welcomed.
Machetes and slashers are strongly discouraged, as they create sharp points on branches and deep flesh wounds :(
Not everyone needs to have cutting tools, as shifting cut material off the track is very important too :)
