February 2021

Happy New Year everyone. I hope I find you all fit and well, and my apologies for not writing

anything for Twin Diffs last month. What’s happened club wise since last year? Some of us

had an enjoyable trip to Stadia on the 16th/17th January led by Scott King. This was the first

time I have camped at Stadia and I look forward to more enjoyable evenings around the

campfire soon.

The club event calendar is starting to look great for this year. The weekend of the

20th/21st Feb is now confirmed as a Stadia Working Bee if you can make it. This will be

mostly on the shiny tracks as they are getting overgrown and becoming un-shiny. A digger

will be there to tidy up drainage and install culverts, to make access more user friendly.

Please note we will need to move the 27th/28th March Manukau Interclub day at Maramarua

to another date later in April. Instead, we have booked another Stadia weekend on the

27th/28th March to try out the improvements.

Don’t forget the club meeting is going to fall early this month on Monday 15th Feb. Our ‘inhouse Gaia Online Maps expert’ Andy Webb, will be giving us a ‘how to use’ Gaia lesson,

and show you what club tracks are currently available online to use when planning trips. A

very handy tool. https://www.gaiagps.com/

Kind regards

Paul Brinkman
